A Digital Twin-based approach for multi-objective optimization of short-term production planning

Short-term multi-product production planning strongly depends on manifold considerations which can be related to backlog production, product-type prioritization, machine capacity, and set-ups. Different manufacturing systems conditions may lead different objectives. In this context, it is rather difficult define a-priori optimal plans. This paper presents an effective approach for short-term of based the integration a Digital Twin multi-objective optimization method. The proposed has been implemented in real industrial case railway sector. Numerical results show that useful insights inferred from methodology.
